And this.
Oh yes, and this.
Fortunately I returned in time to save many of the sodas that were originally in the case. Only three of them were actually opened, although one entire wall of the living room was covered with soda from floor to ceiling. I guess puncture holes from a dog's tooth will do that. Soda had also found its way into the carpet, onto Remi's futon, and on the couch. And quite possibly into Ziggy's stomach.
Remi checked out the spilled soda, but maybe he is a Pepsi fan like me, because he decided not to drink any of it. Although he does seem to enjoy the new Coke-scented aroma of his futon now.

My Nikko (who looks like Ziggy) was originally bought by someone to be trained as a guard dog for an artist studio. The smart dog that he was, he managed to get out of his crate one night and chewed all of the guy's art supplies! It worked out well because the guy got rid of him immediately and Nikko came to live with me. :-) He didn't have a mean bone in his body and never would have made a good guard dog.
Wow... you can open your own sodas Ziggy??? That is amazing. I'll bet those "fountain" holes were fun to watch.
My goodness, Ziggy has skills. I never would have thought of trying to open a can. Ziggy for the win!

I just want to have been around when the first fountain of fizz erupted. I can imagine the look on the Zigs face to have been absolutely fantastic. Then of course a battle royal for the protection of the house ensued.
According to Ziggy, he should be praised. He saved you! (snort)
Knowing Ziggy and his, well, you know, "problem," he probably thought the soda had a little something else mixed in. Rum, perhaps?
Oh, I don't envy your clean-up!
Ziggy will never stop entertaining. This is a dog who knows how to have fun!

It's a good thing Jack wasn't there or you would have had Jack and Coke! :)
Look at the bright side, Ziggy didn't eat the cans.

oh. my. gosh.
so, zigs loves coke! well, so do i!! what a coincidence! we really are meant to be together... :)
Ah yes, because if anyone needs a caffine and sugar high it would be Ziggy - did it make him crazy at all? I am guessing it is tough to tell - but wow, I am impressed that only 3 got opened.
This is too funny! Of all the things I've heard of/seen dogs get into, soda cans is a new one to me!
I had two dogs that liked Coke, Libby and Bentley. They both waited till it was opened before asking for a taste.
Ziggy shows great initiative.
Check out Dogs-N-More. The post is about fostering and I included Ziggy. I hope you like it. If you have anything you'd like me to post, let me know.

Very funny! We have a few dogs that get into anything they can get there paws on. One of my clients puppies got into a 35 pound bag of potting soil, oh boy what a mess!
My doggy doesn't like soda. He prefers to pee on the cases of soda.
Holy smokes! Ziggy is quite the opportunist!
ohmyword! ziggy, you are my new HERO!!!
your adoring fan,
the booker man
I think that maybe Ziggy wanted you to paint the walls a different color. Perhaps he likes a mocha shade...some might call it a dark syrup? Maybe he wants a scratch and sniff wall?
