Sometimes I'm Mean to Molly

Molly is a Puggle/Min-Pin mix that I am fostering.  Generally I tend to err on the side of being too lenient with my fosters, but I do have to admit that I am occasionally mean to Molly.  I can't help it - she's just so cute when she's out in the backyard and wants to come in.  Most of the dogs will either bark or scratch at the door to come inside, but Molly doesn't do either of those things.  Instead, I will happen to glance over and see a bouncing dog who doesn't make a sound, but bounces up and down like a jumping bean.  And she's so funny that instead of being nice and letting her in as she requested, I like to stand there and watch her bounce for a minute.  I know, it's mean.  She just wants to come inside, and instead I stand inside the house and laugh at her.  But I bet you would too.  Pictures can't quite capture the true experience.

Ready for takeoff...

Going up...
"Hellooooo...I'm waiting to come in!"

It's almost as fun to watch another dog watching Molly...
Morgan saying "what in the world are you doing??"

Do any of you know any bouncing jumping bean dogs?

Pooooor Molly. Tsk, tsk, Dog Foster Mom. Torturing her like that. So very sad.

But, well, I can kinda understand cuz she IS pretty cute.

Brudder Ranger barks if he wants to be let in. But I just stand at the door and wag my tail until somebuddy notices me. And then mom will say, "Do you wanna come in?" And I'll tilt my head one way, and wag my tail some more. And then she'll say it AGAIN. And I'll let her know that yes, I do by wagging my tail and tilting my head some more. And then after about a kajillion minutes of this, she'll finally let me in. I really need to work with her some more on this cuz I just don't think she's getting it.

LOL I completely understand. She is so cute! Sophie barks to get in but Koda just stares through windows and doors with his most pitiful look until you let him in.

We are mean to Sophie too, we like to cover her eyes and pretend to be giving Koda a treat. She wiggles and squirms and does all she can to make sure that she isn't being left out! I will have to tape it sometime.

Molly is SO CUTE. Kolchak the Puggle is built on a spring. From a sitting position (and I'm talking sitting still relaxing) he can jump straight up and lick you nose. It's so ridiculous.

Hi Y'all,

I'm 100 lbs of retriever and I BARK as loud as I can then start leaping up and crashing against the door...no I never stop barking! This works the same if someone else is outside and wants inside...a human visitor usually.

A long time ago there was a picture on my blog of me leaping against the door while we were in the mountains after a snow storm.

Y'all come by now,
Hawk aka BrownDog

That is just too funny. We have an E. Setter that although she barks when she wants in,she also stands up against our screen door and looks in the window of the wooden door to make sure you are coming to get her. And sometimes even though it's only been a minute or two, when you let her in she's whining like she has been waiting for you for hours!
