Message from Ziggy

Hello my friends, have you missed me?  My foster mom says there might be some new readers out there, so if that's the case, let me introduce myself.  I'm Ziggy.
This is me.
I'm the only foster dog my foster mom has ever had long enough to actually give me my own page on her blog.  And my own website.  And my own Facebook page.  And my own business cards.  Yeah, she's been trying to get rid of me get me adopted for years now.  This is me and my foster mom:
I know you're hiding a treat in your hand!  Please let me have it!

She says she loves me a lot, but I'm a very special dog who needs a home without other pets, so she is trying to find a great home for me.  Recently I had the chance to go into a foster-to-adopt home.  I've been gone for about three weeks, and enjoyed every second of my time with Darren, but we finally realized that we're not meant to be together.  You see, Darren is one of those wonderful dog owners who likes to take his dog everywhere, and spend time with his family, and go on long walks.  The long walks part was great, but I'm not really a take-everywhere, hang out with family sort of guy.  Plus, can you believe, Darren doesn't have any cows living next door to him. Boy did I miss those cows.  And I missed all of you too, of course (my foster mom reminded me to say that).  She claims that I missed her too, but really Darren has better treats at his house.  Anyway, I'm back now and I am once again looking for my forever home.  I told Darren not to worry, that he'd find the right dog for him, and he said he'd do what he could to help me find a home too.  He's a very nice guy and I will really miss his treats him.  It's very important that I find just the right owner (maybe a dairy farmer?) so if you know of someone who might want a dog like me, please let me know!

Oh, Ziggy! I'm ever so sorry it didn't work out with Mr. Darren. He sounds like a Most Wonderful human and that he worked really hard to make it work. But sometimes, things just aren't meant to be.

Please give your mom a slurpy kiss from me. I know she's prolly disappointed for you that it didn't work out. She wants you to have your very own home SO much. But I'm gonna keep my paws crossed REAL TIGHT that your honest-to-goodness furever home is out there somewheres.

Welcome back wiggles & wags,
Mayzie

I'm so sorry for Ziggy, but so happy that there are people like Darren out there! We're hoping and praying that another fabulous person will come along soon!

Aww Ziggy, I'm bummed it didn't work out. Skye is thrilled, but she missed hearing about all your adventures. Why can't you live with other dogs? Don't you have oodles of them in your foster home?

Awww Zigster. I was so bummed when I saw Darrens post on your FB page. I was so hoping it would work out with him. And I feel bad for him too because I know he was hoping it would work out too. I mean how could he resist your face?!
We'll keep everything crossed for you that a dairy farmer is looking for a dog like you! :)

Yep, I DO have oodles of other dogs here. But my foster mom doesn't let me interact with them very often (only every once in awhile when we go outside and play) because I can be very, very pushy with other dogs. I am not an easy dog to live with (but I'm a lot of fun!) I don't get much attention here because I have to stay separate from the other dogs, so that's why my foster mom really, really wants me to find a home of my own where I can have more freedom!

it sounds like darren gave it his best shot, but like you said, sometimes things aren't meant to be. Here's hoping your forever family is even closer now!

We have horses near by...they aren't exactly cows, but. But sadly there are like 4 of us and 3 kittehs here. And it sounds like you would be happier as the center of some ones universe. Mom's going to go find your FB page and make all her friends go look!

Wags!

Mr. Nubbin'

We are sorry it could not work with Darren. But I can see why I have always taken my dogs every where. But with some foster dogs appart from there walks I could not take them about with me.
I do hope Ziggy finds the right home and Darren finds the right dog

Oh, Ziggers, that's no fun! I have a couple of "can't take everywhere" dogs, so I understand what it's like. And not everyone has the lifestyle that can accommodate that. You're a special guy, and you'll find that special home, I know you will! Your foster mom is really terrific to work so hard to find you the perfect home. She loves you very much - and you're worth it, kid!

Oh Ziggers, I was so happy and sad when you left with Darren. It seemed like a good fit because you had someone who was so willing to work with you. I do hope that someone else comes along and soon. Laurie loves you but you would be so much happier at your own home!

So sorry to hear that that was not your forever home Ziggy. But I am glad Darren realized it was not the right match, and did the right thing. And now there is somebody else looking out there to help you find your forever home.

Ziggy, dude, I'm sorry that things didn't work out at the place with yummy treats. But I know another place with even yummier treats will come along! And to be super selfish, I'm glad to hear from you again! You'll find your right home... it's out there somewhere for you!

So sad Ziggy! I know your perfect home is out there somewhere. And don't worry - Ace may have some similarities with you - but you are still an original!
