It's the Holiday Season...

And no one is more excited than Binky, the All Paws Rescue mascot.  He not only has the requisite Santa hat, he even dresses up with tinsel.

Binky was not the only one dressed up. This is Aunt Dolly, and she's a beagle who just can't wait for Christmas.

You see, Aunt Dolly is a retired hunting dog. She has lived outdoors her whole life, and has never experienced the life of an indoor dog. She doesn't know about decorations, or Christmas trees, or family get-togethers. She has never experienced a cozy bed next to a fireplace, or a couch where she can cuddle up next to her person. In many ways, this will be Dolly's first Christmas. She just moved from a shelter into a foster home, and has immediately fallen in love with all the comforts of home. Fortunately Binky lives at this foster home so he will be able to show her the ropes.

We're just hoping she can reign in some of her enthusiasm about the upcoming holidays. You can see she's a bit out of control.

And once we told her about the food that comes along with Christmas, well, her excitement level was through the roof. She had to sit down, she got so excited.

We're just hoping that Binky can be a good influence and teach Dolly how to slow down a bit.

Binky and Dolly are so adorable! We hope Dolly really starts to enjoy herself. She's too cute to look so calm :) She would fit in great over at our household where Macho just likes to hang out and check out his surroundings as well!

I just haves to observe that Dolly looks, um, well...less than enthused abouts the hat. But she's prolly willing to humor the humans cuz of all the good things that came into her life most recently.

My heart is filled up with happiness for Dolly that she is gonna learn - like I did - how most joyful it is to be "home for the howlidays"!

Aww the beagles are so cute. That is great that Dolly is so calm with all the decorations on her since she definitely wouldn't be used to it. My Holly beagle took straight to living in a house when she moved too. Now she gets icecream for desert. Hopefully Dolly will get a happy ending too!

Oh they are both so adorable! And boy, we hate that Dolly had to live outside all the time - that is just so mean! But oh we are so glad she has a wonderful foster home now where she gets to be inside - we can just see the excitement on her face! We hope both Dolly and Binky find wonderful forever homes very soon!!

Hey guys, Thanks for all the nice thoughts. It's nice to know that Dolly and I have such good friends!
She is learning to relax more and more each day. This morning when we woke up every one jumped out of bed and ran to the back door. We couldn't find Dolly. She had walked into the living room, climbed on the couch and fell asleep. Ha Ha

The enthusiasm level in this post is so high that I feel I need a nap now. I hope both ladies find wonderful homes. They look like they'd make super pets.
