I went to visit the St. Charles Pet Adoption Center last week, and saw these kittens there. I wasn't looking for any new cats to foster. But I fell in love, so here they are. Strange how that sort of thing just happens to me.

They are precious! The longer haired one looks like your kitty, Merlin. I sense a trend here... perhaps you like orange cats?! ;) Might I add that there are a ton of kitties needing foster/adoptive homes right now, more so than usual. Not sure if it has to do with the time of year (kitten season winding down) or what, but it seems worse than normal. :(
